The Department of Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology is looking to appoint a teaching fellow (0.8) to teach modules in Egyptology including ancient Egyptian material culture, religion and language. The position is a fixed-term appointment for ten months from 1 September 2018. The successful candidate will have: a PhD in Egyptology or be near completion of a PhD; the expertise to teach in the area specified in the job particulars and in particular Ancient Egyptian Language at beginners to advanced levels; experience of teaching in a university department or equivalent; fluent written and spoken English. The ability to teach a module on late Egyptian religion and its relation to Greece and Rome would be desirable but not essential.
