Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence & Organised Crime Research (CENTRIC) is looking for two software developers to play a key role developing new and contemporary technologies in a number of major European Union projects including TENSOR, Roborder, CONNEXIONs, and others.

Within these projects you will participate as a member of a European-wide research team developing new software tools, procedures and technologies related to the discovery, analysis and visualisation of content related to terrorism, organised crime, and border management.

You will play a key role in developing software products that contribute to the success of these projects. We will provide the opportunity to develop leading-edge skills and experience in developing and applying new and contemporary technologies including among others: JDK 8, Spring, and modern JavaScript. Your daily work will require you to propose and develop solutions for the practical challenges raised in the security domain including opportunities to contribute to front-end and server-side development as well as researching innovative solutions to real-world applications.

You must have a good honours degree or equivalent in computing or a related discipline, be capable of and interested in software development, and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
